MAC Wash & Dry | Summer 2015

There’s no doubt that MAC Cosmetics comes out with some of the coolest makeup collections! Their newest launch, “Wash & Dry,” was available online May 14 and in stores May 21. The collection’s bright colors are inspired by the Laundromat.
I absolutely love the fun, colorful packaging; it instantly reminded me of fruit rollups! Here are my thoughts on a few of the products (full collection at

Powder blush in Hipness, $24.50
Described as “light peach.”
This blush is gorgeous, just like the rest of MAC’s blushes. It’s very pigmented and gives a healthy natural glow to the cheeks.

Studio Sculpt Defining Bronzing Powder in Golden Rinse, $35.50
Described as “light brick reddish bronze with fine shimmer.”
When I first saw this, my jaw dropped! I am a sucker for bronzers with a hint of shimmer — perfect for that summer glow! This one’s subtle and light, best for lighter skin tones. Just pop it in the hallows of your cheeks. Sweep excess on perimeters of the face.

Studio Nail Lacquer in Monday Blues $13.50
Although this is a beautiful, deep blue polish, I associate this color more with fall and winter than summer. But to each their own!

Lipstick in Steam Heat, $17.50
Described as “vivid yellow-red.”
It’s no surprise that Mac has truly mastered the matte red lip. This is a beautiful addition to MAC’s great collection of matte red lipsticks, including some of my favorites.

Lipglass in Laundry List, $16.50
Described as “vivid orange.”
This is the type of product that comes to mind when I think of a summer collection — a nice, bright pop of color! Great for that effortless, bold summer lip.
